Sausage Slime |

So, you gonzos should like this recipe. It's got a lot of sausage in it.
For four people you need:
Sausage. 500g or more, depending on how much sausage you want.
Rice. 12oz or 350g
1 Onion
1 Tin of condensed tomato soup.
It is very important you get condensed tomato soup - it is not the same as normal soup! It will come in a smaller can and in England it's usually Campbells:
First you need to cook your sausage and rice. To cook the sausage, grill or fry them. You want them to be dark brown or black all over, and there should be no trace of pinkness inside when you cut them open. They can be burnt on the outside and still taste nice, by the way.
For the rice, boil a large pan of water with a teaspoon of salt. When it's boiling, put all the rice in and cover the pan with a lid. At this point you can turn the heat down a bit and leave it to boil for 12-15 minutes.
After the rice has cooked it needs to be drained - tip all the rice into a sieve, and swill out any remaining bits with some water and tip them into the sieve too. Wash a bit of water through the rice and jiggle it about a bit to get rid of any starchy bits and to fluff it up.
Also once the sausages are cooked, remove them from the heat and cut them into chunky slices, about 5 or 6 per sos. Perhaps more if you're using some German monstrosity of a frankenfurter!
Now you need to fry the onion. You need to remove all the papery bits from the onion, gonzos - they don't taste nice! So get rid of those bits and then cut the onion in half. After this chop it into thin slices with one of those flat surfaces on the chopping board. You'll get lots of little 'C' shapes. Remember - a crying gonzo is not a gonzo at all!
Chuck the these into the pan the sausage was in. If the pan looks dry, add some oil, but otherwise use the sausage fat. They should immediately start to sizzle. Keep pushing them around the pan with a wooden spatula. This should continue for a good while until the onions are starting to get black. Remove them from the heat and now mix everything - onion, tomato, rice, chopped sausage - in a big pan (I use the one for the rice)
Heat everything up, put it on plates and eat it, if you have plates in your house.
If it's a bit boring for you you can spice it up with some chilli sauce.

Interesting.
Sounds tasty. You got any pictures?
Maybe you could try adding some red wine, herbes de Provence, bacon, and some copped leeks with the tomato sauce?
