then here's what u need!
Frets on Fire
if you know guitar hero, you'll know what it's about. for all others, it's a music game, where you have to hit the right notes of a song by pressing 3-5 buttons (F1-F5) with your left hand replacing the frets, and hitting the strings by pressing the return button:

it's recommended to download version 1.2.451 (see first link), cause the latest release is buggy.
songs can be downladed here, but you'll have to register to the forum.

the songs (1 Folder, 4-5 Files per Song, No Subfolders) just need to be copied into the song directory.
maybe start with supereasy mode (3 buttons), then switch to easy (4 buttons). anything above is just nuts.
So, have fun with it!
P.S.: and yes, i got too much free time at the moment and i am badly bored.

Also try Audiosurf for something slightly similar - you must use the mouse to move your ship across the track to pick up the blocks representing notes, matching colours to get bonuses. It's procedurally generated so you can do it with any piece of music.
