You really shouldn't use the IE.
The problem in this case might be the fact that IE from versions 8 (I guess) upwards ask you to make some settings. If you just accept what it proposes, you end up with an IE that tells you, what is good for you, your computer, your children, your dog, your neighbour and his cat patsy.
I do not remember the preferences of IE good enough to tell you how to turn this off, but you might try to reset the browser-settings to default. Your bookmarks and personal settings will stay untouched, so it is pretty safe to do this.
look here and scroll down to the "let me do it myself"-section.
If I were you, I'd consider to switch to Firefox or Chrome. Have it as a second browser until you are sure you get along with one of those, too. Takes people usually 10 to 12 minutes to forget what IE was.

IE was ok when Netscape Navigator 2.0 was released.
Long live Navigator.
Sadly NN2.0 is still better than the newest IE.

take ffox... or opera for alt design

ok, finally km and i managed to play a vs game. it was funny. BUT: you need 20 "tokens" in order to play vs mode. and you only get 20 tokens every 24 hours when your tokens are down to zero. the only other way is to buy tokens. so, we better forget this thing....

But we were not playing for weeks, I really ask myself why we haven't had more tokens than 20 yesterday... It could be that the maximum is limited to 20 and you just can play every 24 hours one time VS-mode...
Again back to the aspect of earing money, too much money. Thanks EA It is cheaper buying the original FIFA for PC - I've already for PS3 so Bluey and I have downloaded for play against each other. If you want to - and it is funny of course, I already played FIFA 09 with Stony <3 - ask Blue for the Site.
And very nice to test that OPEN-BETA all 24 hours just one time..
