Here we go then.

Let's start with the Beer Butt Chicken.

This is what you need

Now don't forget to wash your hands.

This is important because you won't be able to turn your chicken into a mutant firearm and hold little children hostage as that would be unhygenic.

So....once you have finised playing with your bird, you will need to prep your beer can. Now where did it go?

A chip off the old block that one....Now open the can, pour out about a third of the beer into a glass and drink it. Now you will need to be careful here because you're going to make holes around the top of the can. I use a sharp knife and wiggle it around until it pierces the can.

Once you have made holes around the top you will need to put a little onion and chopped garlic inside. Now put your can on a medium sized oven dish and sit you bird down on top of it so it looks a little like this:

Looks cool heh?

Rub your bird with a little butter and herbs of your choice before standing it in the oven. Leave to cook for 1 1/2 - 2 hrs on gas mark 4 (180 ish).

Et Voila!

Be careful when you remove the can because it will be very hot! Get one of your friends to help you. Once removed you can both laugh at the gigantic hole you have created!

So.

Now for the Apple & Pear Crumble.

This is what you need:

I like to make a few smaller ones rather than family size just because it looks more classy on the table.

The Crumble:

Cut the butter into cubes and chuck it in a bowl.

Pour over some flour and golden sugar.

Start mixing it with your hands until it looks like this.

The Fruit Filling:

Open up your can of pears, drain out the syrup (you can drink it), peel the apples and chop it all up into slices. Now chuck your fruit in a bowl.

Pour over some golden sugar, a pinch of flour and a tiny tiny sprinkle of cinnamon. Mix it around using your hands until all the fruit is covered and start loading up your little oven dishes.

Now sprinkle your crumble mix over the top and pat it down a little.

Slam those puppies in the oven and cook for about 40mins or until the crumble is golden and the fruit bubbling underneath.

Let em cool down so tey are just a little warm and serve.

Yum Yum!
