TriffiD's Pizza - reloaded |
|
So here is my gonzofied pizza. Actually it is a Barbecue-Pizza, but since it is meaty and tasty, I simply consider it gonzo.
So here's what you need:
- Two mozzarella-cheeses
- 1 bigger onion
- 350 to 400 g minced meat
- 100 g Bacon
- Your favourite barbecue-sauce
- Salt, Pepper, oregano and chillies (fresh or ground or whatever you like best)
- One preprepared pizza-dough (see "TriffiD's Pizza" for instructions)
I only had about 250 g of mince, which turned out to be not enough, as you will see later. I also did not put fresh chillies on the Pizza, because my wife had a cold that day and I did not want to make her cry even more. But I promised you to post this, so you'll bear with me.
Make onion-rings and cut the bacon into stripes, if it is not already.
Take two pans. Fry the mince (with some pepper and salt) in one pan until it becomes brown and crumbly. Put the bacon into the other one until it gets kind of crispy.
Turn off the heat and add the barbecue-sauce to the mince. It should have the consistency of marmalade afterwords. Don't take too much. It must not be too saucy, but every bit of the mince must be well covered.
Now slice the mozzarella.
Spread the barbecue-mince on the pizza (I should have taken a little more of the sauce and it is not enough mince).
Put the bacon on top. This would also be the layer, where the chillies belong.
Now the onion rings.
And finally the mozzarella.
Then drip 3 tablespoons of olive oil evenly over the pizza. Also add some oregano.
Now put the thing onto the well pre-heated stone or put you baking tray into the hot oven.
The pizza is done when the mozzarella is molten, boiling and starts to become brown.
Great, I'm hungry now.
