But seriously it (update) better have much more content than just one difficulty level and few achievements, otherwise I'm getting bored to this game.

i just soloed the first 4 levels on hard.... deima and the reactor were pretty tough. but its a great challenge. 
to play a solo game online just open a friends only lobby and put
asw_ignore_need_two_player_requirement 1
into the console.

OK
Little bit info here:
Brutal
Not much tougher than Insane. Did beat the campaign already.
Onslaught
Now this is fun! Onslaught makes the game much more tougher.
Enemies are random, so sometimes you see tons of shieldbugs in tight corridors.
There are parasites EVERYWHERE!
I have now played with Brutal+Onslaught the first 3 missions (landing bay, cargo elevator and deima surface).
It is pretty fun, but you surely need at least 3 very skillful players.
Hardcore FF
Only tried this on Hard difficulty. Vindicator to your friends face will kill him, at least the medics.
Sems fun. Maybe try it more when I finish Brutal+Onslaught.
Got both of those two achievements already, so still just making kills for the last achievement and the two last promotions.
