Quake? |
|
Hey Compadres.
Firstly: Sorry for not being around so much recently. Been kinda busy of late. I'm still alive though.
Secondly: Call me a nab but I have never played Quake! Never until last Thursday that is. I went to shoot some pool, play babyfoot, do some bowling at my local fun zone with a buddy and, after a few beers, we found ourselves sat in a nerd zone (internet gaming area). We paid for 4 hours of gaming and systematically went through all the games installed. After about an hour we found Quake 3. Maybe it was because I had drunk a few beers, maybe it was destiny but I have to say I fookin love that game!
Old?.....Yes
But what a fookin game. We played for 3 hours non stop and I was ready to go on for more. I think I'll buy this game now and see what the pro scene is like. It's like doom in fast forward! Nostalgia.....it was emotional.
So:
Any of you like to play quake 3? I think dirty and bull used to play. Sure it is not about realism but it is a nice, smooth and simple game, something that I think many designers forget when they make these new shooters with fancy graphics and wierd weapons that pick up chairs and throw them across the room etc....
Anyone interested on sparking up ts and going into a battle arena with old spliffy and crew?
Maybe quake 4 is better? Which one is best? Maybe there are other ones I don't know of?

What a coincidence - spoke about Quake with a workmate just today.
He told me it's just like tce..it dies slowly. There are just some professionals around and he stopped playing for that reason.
Played Quake 3 just very few times but i'm ready if enough gonzo's are in. I've to buy that game to play online, right?
selected Quake 2 accidentally
