I've been looking at this acer. Aspire M3910, Intel i5-650 3.2GHz, 6144MB, 1TB, NVIDIA GT420, Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit The price is 814€ in online store. But I personally dont like acer at all. They have imo a very cheap build quality, low component quality and horrific driver/compatibility support. But its up to everyones personal preference. I am about to build a Phenom II X6 1100T 3.30 Ghz, 8Gb RAM on a 890GX Chipset Mainboard with my old Rad 4850. This would cost me around 400€. The quality is far beyond low average. 814 bucks is too much for that machine as well. The graphics card is crap. Its manufacturing is awful. It works, but is no fun and looks awful after a few weeks, cause the paint rubs off, leaving behind ugly white spots and scratches everywhere. HP notebooks are better, but they have some components that regularly cause trouble. The WLAN-Chip was dead after quite a short time on three (!) different notebooks I came across. We had one Dell-NB. It was quite nice, not only because the battery was the most robust I have ever seen. The best Notebooks are imho the ones from ASUS. I buy them all the time. Stable setup, pretty fast and good for work (sorry for the bad word). I don't really know about their gaming abilities, though.
