 pb and tce |
 |
after a long time i decided to play some good old tce. after downloading all the files from heroes and waiting for an open slot i got kicked by pb because i had an old version. went to dl pbsetup and ran it and since then i cant run tce or wolf. any ideas maybe?

ET or TCE arent supported by PB anymore.
You need older version of PB (find those at evenbalance, I still think there is list somewhere that says what is the last version for ET).
Do you have old ETkey?
If not, the game wont generate you a new one.

Some people at truecombatelite.com say that it works flawlessly, but I haven't tried it myself.
You might want to connect to merlin or someone if you still have problems playing ET or TCE after this, as I still have my old installation.

oh yeah one thing:
you probably have that new and fancy PBsetup where you can choose game from the list, so still choosing ET and then trying to update might give you right version. I dont have it, so I fucked up myself about a month ago when I updated manually (to play BF2142). maybe you just need etkey.

Bio is drunk as always i see 
i did download pbsetup and updated pb and it doesnt work.
etkey is not a problem since i never uninstalled et or tce so nothing is changed.
the problem was that i got kicked from heroes for old pb version and ever since i updated it i cant start tce or et.
edit:
found backup folder for et and tce including pb. got the game running but now i get the error: pb init failure 
edit 2:
message from pb - saw it in console:
pb client in distress - cannot authenticate with pb server (c2254)
