punkbuster needs a seperate install - download from punkbuster web the version for your operating-system and install: setup -> select the game you wanna use, thats enemy-territory for us.
After this the enable-button in the game should work

That colour thing is to do with ping or lag or something it peaks and goes down. Used to use it in wolfinstien way back. I think monty still uses it so he can give you more detail.

yes the square is the "Log-O-Meter" or NETGRAPH
The green line is your connection and the blue one the conenction of the server.

You don't need to download that one - you can just enable it somewhere in settings.

Exact!
But forget where to do it.
Search for Netgraph in the settings.

urrrgggh, Montybitch
"go" means you should press this little key on your computer-keyboard (not the music-keyboard) on the leftmost side in the upper row. Its normaly labeled "Esc" and pops up an onscreen configuration menu in enemy-territory. There you select the wanted sub-menuentries. In tce(test) some entries are added in the options-menu, like the enable-checkbox for the lagometer-display and the user does not need to enter
cg_lagometerAlpha 1.0
in the console. .. .. ..... .. tce(test) likes new namings, the old cvar-setting for the lagometer-display is
cg_lagometer 1

soooorrrry runstorm - i'm a linux noob
.
.
maybe the punkbuster version does not run on this windows flavour
- maybe a question of user-rights - arent all windows-user the supervisor/admin .... rumours are some restrict the rights and get a lot of problems ....
.
check the real windows-version, windows is not windows .... and compare with a running one ... and ... really tried running the version without punkbuster and it works on servers(there are still some without pb-enable) .... check enemy-territory servers ....

I remember when once I waited SOOO long to one server back in 0.48, 'cause I wanted to play "dem_slums"... man I loved that map, so fast and funny... 600 btw...
