Author Message Rafty Joined: 21 Jan 2006 Posts: 959 Location: Gonzoland (north-west) CONNECTION INTERRUPT WITH WLAN?! good morning! some technical stuff for wlan-using-gonzo`s: here`s a solution for that "connection interrupt" every few minutes after i installed et/tc:e on an other pc (winxp and wlan) i had this error too and playing was not possible. so i tested something and found that "wireless zero" causes this problem. wireless zero is the windows xp own config-tool for wlan. this shit is checking the connection to the access point every few minutes and then you will get a connection interrupt or an unstable ping. the solution is to disable this service and install the provided tool for your wlan-hardware. Start - Execute - type in "services.msc" look for something like "Wirelessconfiguration" do a right-click on it and choose "properties" in the first window choose "disabled" and click ok restart the pc and install the software provided with your wlan hardware (try to get fresh drivers from the developer) if you still have connection interrupts, try it with "wzero.exe" (http://wirelesszero.wi.funpic.de/wzero.exe). this is not a functional guarantee, but my wlan-pc works fine now _________________ TCE.HELPZ0R.NET - (unofficial) TC:Elite Support Sun Mar 19, 2006 1:31 pm KillerMaster Joined: 09 Feb 2006 Posts: 632 Location: Frankfurt/Main, Germany Nice, nice, nice to have Rafty, thanks for all Rafty, nice post's from you.
