0.48 playing without problems

hello,
first, big thanks go to rainmaker from good old tce-force, everyone may know him.

at:
tce-force.com port:27000
there is a tce installed and running, the old version, named as tce048. So you dont need to make any changes to play the old or the new version. If you still have the old version in you enemy-territory folder, maybe renamed as "tcetest.old", you can rename it to: tce048 and spare the download time. On the other way if not, there should start a new download of the old version - but this time as the mod: tce048
at the moment the only 0.48 server it the force-server: tce-force.com:27000

check the fine performance of this true old version, including a screen without black borders, big chars, ... and short flying nades ...

hey KillerMaster, if possible let us use the version on force. Then i dont need to change my configuration. I can now fire-up the new 0.49 tce-version and if i connect to the force-server it changes itself to the tce048 mod. If a then disconnect and join a new gonzo-neelix-0.49 server, i can play on it at once without the need to leave the game.

Okay, test. I typed /connect tce-force.com:27000 on Gamin'Gonzo and it downloaded the file. It works Twisted Evil

sorry, i forgot:
you have to manually connect the server,
because in tcetest-0.49 server browser only game-servers called "tcetest" are displayed.

pull-up in server-browser connect with ip and enter:

tce-force.com:27000

or fire up standard enemy-territory or use a game-browser like all-seeing-eye, xqf, ... and search for a server with the et-mod called: tce048

by the way, thats why you now can play both versions without any changes, the old tcetest 0.48 mod got a "new" name: tce048 and has its own config and directory setup and will not overwrite the new tcetest version.

Best way: All gonzos/guests must only open the console and type /connect tce-force.com:27000. It's the easy way, but test's way is better Wink
