anyone of you got a wii? usually i would have bought a ps3 or xbox, but my girlfriend wanted a console and this was the most suitable, cause you can play intuitive fun stuff with a lot of people easyly. and i think it's pretty funny, too except for the ghey kiddy look of most nintendo games. so, can anyone recommend a good game that doesn't look and sound like teletubbies? maybe sth to play online, too?

I got a wii too.
I really like wii sports resort, especially the table tennis. I'll hook it up to the net one day in the hope that a fellow gonzo might be a worthy opponent.
If not you could try band hero world tour or something. That looks pretty cool.
I think you got to enjoy wii for what it is....innocent and childish fun.
Don't try the serious games and make mii characters of all your friends and family so you can have cool fun when the come round.

my gf has one...I love mario kart wii though I must admit that it is never going to reach the classy style of mario kart 64 (ahhh memories )
there are a couple of rather useless fitness programs as well e.g. wii fit (including that funny board you can check your weight and do alot of other stuff on too)
though I like my alter ego mii I gonna stay with my good old n64

thx for the replies. i guess i gotta accept that wii is not good for "serious gaming"... i got mario kart and wii sports until now. maybe we can play a bit some day
@spliffy: i'll kick your ass on table tennis as soon as i got resort!
@saubaer: have you tried a shooter on the wii, yet? maybe with the gun, too? i imagine its fun for few hours, but guess it's not worth investing the money, as i'm too much of a pc shooter fan...
and: do you guys use the wii motion plus thingy? is it much better on those sports games?
