Author Message Splinx Joined: 23 Dec 2006 Posts: 628 Location: Dortmund, Germany laptop battery charging control program? I need a laptop battery charging control program. So the battery wont be charged all the time and hopefully lives longer. Any1 know such a program? Simply take out the battery when not in use. That is the most effective method to prevent your battery from dieing too fast. I never heard of that. I always thought that the charging of the battery was more or less OS independent. The charger starts charging, when it gets power.
