Evidence of incapacity? Maybe you should get yourself windows. I never understood
all those people obsessively trying to stay with linux while voluntarily limiting thenselves
in almost all situations a gamer can face. No adapted software. No support. Ther's hardly any game
you can run on your PC. The Source-Engine is one of the most frugal engines that exist out there.
The lack of capability to run it properly is......fail. No matter wether it is a question of software or
(as in Bionic's case for usual) hardware. |
That's running on Windose! I don't limit my self that much, I have more freedom with Linux though ...
My Windows 7 experience score is 5.2, I'm sure it should run smoothly ... anyway, changes are coming

With a little Swatty magic, I've now got my windows experience index up to 7.2, and that's not graphics performance which is holding it back ... I bet it runs better in Linux

So guys. How is the situation? Looks to me like CS:GO could be a good substitute for TCE. Though it has no iron sights there are decent hitboxes, only a few bugs (if any), tactical gameplay which means easy to control and hard to master, a vivid community and decent hardware requirements. You can get it for only a few bucks (about 14€). And it is fun to play (never thought that I could talk like that about CS).
Soooo....
how about Spliffy, Bio, Pothead, TriffiD, Blueberry, Splinx, Monty, HEINI, etc....???

Well cs is always cs. There ain't a lot of fresh ideas but it is entertaining. Sometimes it seems to be more luck than skill based tho.
CS is prolly the best basic objective based game atm. The competetive system is great so whiners can't run away during a match unless they want a temp ban
But when i wan't to feel the wind of change there's nothing better than BF3. I like big maps, vehicles and 64 player matches.
