وبعد أن تحدثوا عن تاريخ جامعاتهم وجودة التعليم وارتفاع مستوى أعضاء هيئة التدريس، تناولوا دور هذه المؤسسات بما تقدمه من مناهج وطريقة تدريس وبما تنتجه من بحوث ودراسات في تغيير التفكير السائد في العالم العربي. واعتبروا أنهم يقومون بأفضل أنواع الاستثمار وهو الاستثمار في مجال العقول ومستقبل تعليم أجيال من الشباب العربي. واعتبر المشاركون في الندوة أن الجامعات الأمريكية في الشرق الأوسط كانت ولا تزال أداة ووسيلة ناجعة من أدوات الدبلوماسية الأمريكية العامة يمكن أن تقوم بالدور الأكبر في تخسين صورة الولايات المتحدة لدى الشعوب العربي |
Having talked about the history of universities, the quality of education and a high level of the teaching staff, addressed the role of these institutions, including their curricula and teaching method and produced by the Research and Studies in changing the prevailing thinking in the Arab world.
